This notice covers the berufa website, email enquiries and external appointment links. Skill use in your own AI account is a separate activity. Updated 12 October 2026.
Who is responsible
David Sterz, Ulmenstr. 5, 86507 Oberottmarshausen, Germany, operates berufa and handles website and contact enquiries.
Website delivery and security
Vercel hosts this website. Delivering and protecting pages involves technical connection information, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information and error or security logs. Our purpose is reliable delivery, fault diagnosis and protection against misuse; the legal basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The site has no career-data upload, contact form, customer account, payments or embedded social feed. We set no advertising or analytics cookies. Protected staging deployments additionally use Vercel authentication; their login processing is separate from the public website.
We use Vercel as a hosting service provider. Its data-processing terms describe subprocessors and safeguards for international processing. Do not assume all processing stays in Germany. Technical records are retained according to the service configuration and security or legal needs; we do not promise a fixed deletion period that the host has not verified.
Website usage statistics
We offer optional Vercel Web Analytics page-view statistics on the public website. The analytics script loads only after you select Allow statistics in the footer, and only when our production analytics setting is enabled. Protected preview hosts and local development do not collect page views through this integration.
When enabled, the integration reports only published page URLs on berufa.com, with query strings and fragments removed. It sends no custom events, career text or contact details. Vercel may process the time of a visit, referring site, approximate location, browser, operating system and device type. Vercel describes its statistics as aggregated and cookie-free, with a request-derived visitor hash that expires after 24 hours. This does not mean that technical hosting records or aggregate statistics are deleted after 24 hours.
The purpose is to understand which public guides and Skill pages people use and improve them. This optional processing relies on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Select Disable statistics in the same footer control to withdraw consent for future page views. Your choice lasts only until the page is reloaded or closed; berufa stores no consent cookie or browser-storage entry. Email and appointments
If you email us, we receive your address, message and any information you choose to include. Proton Mail handles delivery and storage. We use that information to answer and resolve your enquiry, based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns a requested service or Article 6(1)(f) for ordinary correspondence and support. We keep correspondence while needed for the enquiry and any applicable legal retention duties.
Appointments and calls use Proton Calendar and Proton Meet. Following a booking link opens Proton’s service; booking details may include your name, email, chosen time and message. We use them to arrange the requested conversation. Calls are not recorded by berufa as part of this launch. No booking widget or meeting code runs inside this website.
Downloads and Skills
Download links open GitHub. GitHub receives connection information under its own policy. Downloading a Skill does not send your career records to this website.
All nine Skills process selected pasted text through your chosen AI assistant and model/provider, after disclosure and your explicit agreement. Your account’s terms, processing and usage charges apply. They offer no separate privacy sandbox, retention controls or local-only inference guarantee.

This website has no connection to a career workspace. Your assistant and its model provider process shared text under your account terms.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for the future. You can complain to a supervisory authority, including the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht.
Contact us to exercise rights concerning berufa’s own processing. Processing in your AI-provider, GitHub or other service account also follows that provider’s terms and rights procedure.
